# When The Stress Is Too MuchMost people are aware of the fact that some level of stress in their lives is completely normal, and even more, is completely healthy. But what some people are simply not aware of is the fact that there is a point where stress gets to be too much. Too much stress can actually affect our health in a number of different ways. While controllable and controlled stress is perfectly naturally, long term or chronic stress issues can wreck havoc on the body, creating a variety of different health issues that absolutely must be addressed. - Stress, for example, can play a very large role in the onset of depression. Modern medications can decrease or reduce this depression, but the easiest way to eliminate depressive feelings from the mind is to eliminate the stress leading to them. - Many researchers believe that excessive amounts of stress can lead to the development of ulcers. Ulcers are an excellent sign that we are becoming stressed out and need to slow down. - Another popular sign that there is too much stress in your life is the loss of hair. Some people find themselves literally pulling it out, while others simply lose their hair because of stress induced hormone imbalances. - When our bodies become stressed out, our immune systems have trouble keeping up. This means that stress can actually lead to a number of diseases, including Diabetes or worse. - We can also develop anxiety disorders when our bodies become too stressed out. These anxiety disorders include agoraphobia, obsessive compulsive disorder and many others. Sometimes it may take a friend or loved one to let us know that we are developing a problem. Sometimes these disorders can be reduced by lowering the levels of stress in our lives. - Another large sign of stress is the onset of anger issues. Road rage, for example, is a temporary side effect that stress causes on our health. If you feel like you are becoming an angrier person in general, this may be a very strong sign that you are dealing with more stress than your body and mind can handle. You may be able to help this with anger management courses, but there is no telling if you will be able to eliminate it all together or not unless you attack the source. - Another glaringly obvious symptom of too much stress is weight problems. Both overeating and under eating can be side effects of stress, so if you are rapidly losing weight, or rapidly gaining it, you may have a serious stress induced problem that absolutely must be addressed. - Too much stress on a chronic, ongoing level can even lead to more serious issues including a heart attack or heart disease. This may be a more extreme example of what stress can do to your body, but it is still quite possible and well worth considering when determining where to trim the stress away from your life. These physical symptoms are excellent examples of what it means for the stress to be too much. If you are experiencing physical symptoms as a result of the stress in your life, it is time to make healthy life changes to put yourself back on track once and for all.
