Clinically proven stress stoppers

Stress can come from all directions in life. You can be a stay at home mom and have stress, you can be a working mom and have stress. They may be from different sources, kids, co-workers, husbands, peers; it all comes down to being stress! There are a few ways to help deal with the stress and put an end to it. Eating well-balanced meals on a regular basis, drinking less caffeine, getting enough sleep, and exercising on a regular basis are just a few. You can also try meditating, I recently found out about something called "tapping". It has been working great in helping relieve stress. Listening to classical music is also a stress stopper. It can relax you and help your brain focus on other things. Instead of putting the kids in time out, you take a time out for yourself. If you''re suffering from stress, you need to find something that will help you out so that you don''t blow yourself out.

What to do when consumed by stress

There are times in life when it seems that stress has taken over. When consumed by such stress, it is important to take a step back and figure out a way to alleviate some of what is bothering you. Otherwise, you begin to be no good to anyone. One thing to do is to remove yourself from the stress for a set amount of time. This isn''t the same as running away from the stress, but it gives you time to consider your options. Which brings me to the next point that there are almost always options to consider. Can you delegate something to someone else or is there a way to complete a task quicker while still doing it well? Finally, if all else fails, you may simply have to admit you need some assistance to get through whatever it is that is stressing you out. There is no shame in admitting you need help and the most important thing is to get back on track and be healthy.

Stress? Who Wants it Anyway

We have many misconceptions about stress. First of all, we sometimes forget that ALL change causes stress - even good change. for example, getting a new job may be exciting, especially if you are expecting a pay raise! Nevertheless, the simple fact that you are entering a new environment will cause you stress (hence the phenomena of new hires calling in sick their very first week at a new job!) But perhaps one of the most common misperceptions is that stress is always bad. Remember, stress is an evolutionary necessity. It helps you prepare to fight or flee. Who needs stress? You do!
